MICHIGAN CITY – Mikropor, a Turkey-based company, is expanding its operations in Michigan City, and creating 10 news jobs in the process. Mikropor is a worldwide provider of filtration and purification products for air, gas and liquid applications in markets including compressed air and gas, utilities, gas turbines, power generation, dust collection, cleanroom, transportation, HVAC and liquid processes, according to Mikropor America Regional Manager Ryan Loeffler. The company will be investing more than $400,000 and creating 10 new full-time jobs, with benefits, at its Michigan City facility. By moving operations from its current site on Roeske Road to a new location on Ohio Street, the company is expanding from its current 75,000 square feet to a total of 175,000 square feet, he said. “We are excited about our expansion in Michigan City. The community has been great for our business and we want to grow with the city as it moves forward,” Loeffler said.
