Post Important MEETING NOTE!
Tomorrow night may be the last meeting for CherryMUG. Rich Hoadley has done an admirable job of running CherryMUG for the last few years, but he has decided that he doesn't want to continue running the group.

We are going to gather at CityMac at 6:30, Tuesday, January 19, 2010 to decide what the future of CherryMUG shall be. If nobody wants to continue running the group, then it will be disbanded. We may continue the web site and forum. That depends upon what all of you want. Is it worth continuing? Tomorrow is your chance to be heard.

Thank you for all of your years running the group Rich.

Rick

Post Re: Important MEETING NOTE!
I probably will not be able to make the meeting on Tuesday evening as I am
recovering from surgery.

I echo Rick's comments and thank Rich (Doc) Hoadley for his leadership the
past few years.

Some comments.

The CMUG Forum started by Rick has proved to be a great communication tool.
I particularly like being able to revisit a topic and see all of the
responses on the same page. I wish more would use this format rather than
The List.

I believe the guys at City Mac are doing some good seminars that cover much
of what we did in former CMUG meetings. I appreciate their regular Email
communications. Maybe occasionally one of us could be a part of their
schedule and cover some specific topic.

Can't sign off without thanking Rick for all of his work going back a lot of
years. Rick may not be an officer, but he sure contributes a lot to those of
us who are Mac Users.

Sorry Ken, I've been preoccupied with some other issues, unrelated to CherryMUG.

We decided that CherryMUG will not meet monthly anymore. Greg Nickerson offered to let the group meet at CityMac when we want to get together. CityMac is already having regular sessions in their store for teaching beginners about the Mac. We also talked about setting up an area on the CherryMUG Forum where CityMac can answer questions. We still need to talk with the guys a CityMac to find out who from there is willing to monitor the list.

We also talked about how if someone from the group has a topic that they would talk about, we can call a meeting at CityMac. This could be arranged for anytime that works for CityMac. It won't be on a regular schedule.

That is really all we have at the moment.

Rick
